A map chart is used to show items on a geographical.background (Map of the US). Map charts can contain different types of information in two different map format options. Marker option – Maps can contain interactive shapes or display markers of different types on an image or map background. Special Options and Parameters: Grid is designed for 2 attributes (ZIP Latitude, ZIP Longitude and one metric) Map type is set to Marker Area type is set either to State or County depending, what corresponding geo attributes are present in the report grid Color themeSelect color palette – Sets color palette for stacked bar graph. User can modify Custom palette Choropleth option – Choropleth Maps display divided geographical areas or regions that are coloured, shaded or patterned in relation to a data variable. This provides a way to visualise values over a geographical area, which can show variation or patterns across the displayed location.The data variable uses colour progression to represent itself in each region of the map. Typically, this can be a blending from one colour to another, a single hue progression, transparent to opaque, light to dark or an entire colour spectrum.
